Captain Cook Schoolroom Museum


<p>The Schoolroom Museum is housed in a building once used as a charity school which was founded in 1704 by Michael Postgate, a local landowner, and it was here between 1736 and 1740, that Captain James Cook received his early education.</p><p>Opening times: 1st April - 31st October: 1.00pm - 4.00pm daily<br>1st July - 31st August: 11.00am - 4.00pm daily</p><p>Entry price: Free</p><p>Great if you like... history, free museums, Learning, adventure<br></p>
