<p>National Museum of the Royal Navy, Hartlepool, is a unique and fascinating journey through time, set in an authentically-created historic quayside of the 1800s. Experience Fighting Ships - a powerful insight into the tough lives of sailors. Feel the firepower of guns from the era, with live demonstrations and re-enactments taking place around the quayside.</p> <p>The museum is home to HMS Trincomalee, the oldest warship still afloat in the UK and one of Nelson’s frigates, built in Bombay, India in 1817.<br></p> <p>Opening times: April to October 10 am - 5pm.
