National Museum of the Royal Navy, Hartlepool, is a unique and fascinating journey through time, set in an authentically-created historic quayside of the 1800s. Experience Fighting Ships - a powerful insight into the tough lives of sailors. Feel the firepower of guns from the era, with live demonstrations and re-enactments taking place around the quayside.

The museum is home to HMS Trincomalee, the oldest warship still afloat in the UK and one of Nelson’s frigates, built in Bombay, India in 1817.

Opening times: April to October 10 am - 5pm. November to March 11am to 4pm.

Last admission is one hour before closing
